The academy presents the automotive industry to teenagers aged 12 to 16 in an interesting and playful manner. As a partner, we had to come up with a program for them that would allow them to come away with the most knowledge possible and a bit of valuable personal experience.
We invited a group of young people to come down to the forge and see it with their own eyes. Massive machines, heat radiating from the furnaces and the sounds of authentic forging work made a tremendous impression on the juniors. Of course, they first had to complete safety training at our new training centre with their chaperones, where they learned more about our production processes to ensure they understood what they would see on the tour. The students themselves showed us that they really did understand in a follow-up knowledge quiz. While motivation is important at every age, we also prepared some real prizes for the best among them. All the graduates of the academy took away wooden puzzles from us as memorabilia.
We sincerely want as many of these young people as possible to discover an enthusiasm and passion for technology. The HKS Forge will be happy to give them the opportunity to grow their careers.
