In the morning, wholemeal bread sandwiches, a cake and fruit drinks were waiting for the employees in the canteen. After a tasty breakfast, they were able to have medical examinations.

Medical staff measured their blood sugar levels and, based on their weight, height and age, their body mass index, which reveals obesity. They also underwent allergy testing and bone density testing for osteoporosis.

"Health examinations have become a mandatory part of our Health Day. However, every year we also want to surprise our employees with something, and this time we succeeded thanks to massages", said Ivana Kajanová from the Department of Environment and Occupational Safety.

Benefits that promote health are becoming commonplace in medium and large enterprises. Where manual work is involved, they are often linked to prevention. "What is important to us, however, is the overall satisfaction of employees. We regularly ask them about it in questionnaires", added Ivana Kajanová.

She explained that employees evaluate their working environment and equipment, satisfaction with pay, as well as communication with their supervisor in this way. "In addition to physical fitness, the psychological well-being of our employees is also important, which is why this year on Health Day we arranged a consultation with a psychologist for them.

Many people have taken advantage of it, which is why we are now considering introducing it as a benefit along with massages throughout the year", concluded Ivana Kajanová.
