We decided to support activities in three specific areas: sporting events, active students and social events, in 2018.
Sporting events
Trnava hostedthe Slovak
championships for men’s and women’s athletics. Nearly three hundred
athletes met under the open skies at the city’s stadium. The
championships were held under the auspices of the Slovak Athletic
Federation and were organised by the AŠK Trnava athletic club and the
City of Trnava.
We all know well that Slovak sports do not enjoy the same level of support as in Western Europe. That is why we made the decision to support this specific event. The names of the prominent athletes who came to Trnava were a clear indication to us that our support went into the right hands.
Active student
A team of four students from
Trnava’s transport secondary technical school defended Slovakia's
national colours in a race of the most energy efficient vehicles on the
planet. They travelled with a vehicle they built themselves all the way
to London for the 34th annual Shell Eco-marathon Europe 2018.
After their first time competing in 2017, their involvement in the 2018 edition was in question. The travel costs to London, accommodation and meals for the entire team were quite an expense. This is where the HKS Forge team stepped in to give the racing team a helping hand. We paid for the airfares for the entire team along with their mentor, Milan Eliáš, to travel to the English capital.
Social events
There were two days where all fans
of the golden beverage came into their own. The Promenade, a well-known
park in Trnava, was transformed into a place full of merriment and good
cheer.
We financially supported this celebration of beer because people of all walks of life love beer, regardless of age or social status. The civic association in Trnava that organises beer-related events received our support.
